The Minimum Wages

The Minimum Wages Act, 1948 was enacted to safeguard the interests of workers, mostly in the unorganized sector by providing for the fixation of minimum wages in certain specified employments. It binds the employers to pay their workers the minimum wages fixed under the Act from time to time.

  • 1. Providing consultancy and guidance regarding rules pertaining to Minimum Wages Act
  • 2. Regular updation of zone wise minimum rate of wages and DA based on category
  • 3. Providing guidance and assistance in maintaining Registers required under the Act
  • 4. Attend the government officials and solve the queries
  • 5. Replying  to Show Cause Notices issued under Minimum Wages Act
  • 6. Assistance at the time of inspections and enquiries conducted by the Inspector.
  • 7. Giving timely updates and informing about notifications if any.
